These levels are difficult, so I included the cheat codes to refresh your
memory, in case you get stuck.

CONTENTS

cstlgstn.txt    Describes the Castle Greestone level.
d2.bat          Runs Doom2 with .wad files.
  Example : "d2 empyre empyrefx" loads my levels and my sound effects.
empyre.wad      A collection of 6 levels.
empyrefx.wad    Some silly sound effects I made. In case you don't understand
                what the cyberdemon says when he sees you, he says "Now, the
                real game begins!" - a quote from "Batman Forever", which was
                fresh in my memory at the time.
kidding.wad     "You've got to be kidding!" - a big room FULL of monsters.
                It is possible to reach the exit without cheating, but I like
                to use god mode and watch the monsters fighting each other.

spcprt.txt      Describes the Spaceport level.
spcprtdm.txt    Describes the Spaceport deathmatch level.
spcprtdm.wad    My spaceport deathmatch level.
                Big Hint : On top of a hidden lift outside the building is a
                switch that opens a door in the caves.  There are hidden 
                doors, trap doors, and platforms all over the place.

CHEAT CODES

IDDQD           God mode.
IDKFA           Weapons and keys.
IDFA            Weapons.
IDSPISPOPD      Walk through walls 1.
IDCLIP          Walk through walls 2.
IDCHOPPER       Chainsaw.
IDCLEV##        Warp to level ##.
IDMUS##         Change music to music from level ##.
IDDT            Map cheat.
IDMYPOS         Player position.
IDBEHOLDR       Radiation suit.
IDBEHOLDI       Invisibility.
IDBEHOLDV       Invulnerability.
IDBEHOLDA       All-map.
IDBEHOLDL       Light-amp goggles.
IDBEHOLDS       Beserk strength.
IDBEHOLD        Behold Menu, follow with a letter in the word RIVALS.

Since you're giving Doom2 another try, you might as well do it in style.  A
couple of years ago, Id released the source code for the Doom engine.  Since
then, fans have had a field day adding their own enhancements.  Here are
addresses where you can find three different versions of the Doom engine.

There are more, like Boom and ZDoom, but these three are the best I've seen. 
With JDoom, you need to install v1.00 (full version), then v1.10 upgrade,
then v1.11 upgrade, and then all three Modle Pack Upgrades (MPUs).  This may
be a lot of trouble, but when you're done, you've got a game that visually
rivals Quake2!  Most of the sprites have been replaced with real 3D models.
It makes my levels look spectacular!  OK, it makes ANY level look good.  
Doom Legacy is not as beautiful as JDoom, but it adds more features.  You can
play with up to 32 players, instead of only 4, and you can play with 2 players
on the same computer with a split-screen mode. 
When I saw the castle level for EDGE (Enhanced Doom Game Engine), I could
hardly believe it was Doom!  However, EDGE doesn't seem to have the same type
of community around it as JDoom and Doom Legacy.

to be a lot of Doom activity still going on!
